USAID and UNICEF Donate Hand Sanitizing Units to the Ministry of Education for All Schools in Barbados

In collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United States Government through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), donated 1,525 hand sanitizing stations with temperature monitors and vaccination messages to the Ministry of Education at the Arthur Smith Primary School on March 10, 2022. The units are valued at more than US$29,000 and will promote a learning environment that is safe for students and staff. The hand sanitizing stations will benefit every nursery, primary, secondary, and special needs school across Barbados. Aurore Dorelien of USAID, Dr. Aloys Kamuragiye of UNICEF, Chief Education Officer Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw, and Wilma McClean, Principal of the Arthur Smith Primary School were present at the event.
