U.S. Embassy Hosts Social Security Benefits Town Hall Meeting

The U.S. Embassy to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean, and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States will host a Town Hall Meeting for Social Security beneficiaries on December 6. This meeting will provide information on Social Security procedures and benefits, and allow participants to ask questions.  Regional Benefits Officer Vivian Adebayo from the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) will be the featured speaker.

The meeting should be of interest to anyone currently receiving benefits, planning to receive benefits, or having questions about Social Security services and procedures.

  • Time: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

About the Speaker: Vivian Adebayo is a Regional Federal Benefits Officer with the SSA with responsibility for programs that pay approximately US$450 million to nearly 67,000 beneficiaries throughout most of the Western Hemisphere. Vivian is a graduate of the American Political Science Association’s Congressional Fellowship Program, where she served as a Legislative Assistant for the Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee.  Her portfolio included Latin America and Caribbean affairs. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
