U.S. Coast Guard Lends Assistance to Dominica Relief Efforts

The U.S. Coast Guard continues its relief efforts in Dominica. The Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDET) 404 and delivery crew from Maritime Safety and Security Team (MSST) Miami (all assigned to RFA LYME BAY) have been assisting Royal Marines of Dominica supporting disaster relief efforts in Dublanc, Dominica, following Tropical Storm Erika. Highlights include: Setting up the sick bay, potable water station, and food storage/distribution area.  The U.S. Coast Guard was onboard the RFA LYME BAY conducting law enforcement operations in the Caribbean when the RFA LYME BAY was diverted to Dominica to assist in relief efforts.
