American Citizen Services Appointments
The United States Embassy in Barbados is currently offering limited routine American Citizen Services. Passport, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, and notarial services will be provided on a by appointment only basis. For urgent assistance, please send an email to BridgetownACS@state.gov. We encourage all U.S. citizens to enroll in STEP.state.gov to receive important safety and security information.
Returning to the United States on an Expired Passport
If you are overseas and your passport expired on or after January 1, 2020, you may be able to use your expired passport to return directly to the United States until December 31, 2021. Please visit travel.state.gov or the link here to make sure you qualify.
Welcome to the American Citizens Services (ACS) Unit! This unit provides a wide range of Emergency and Non-emergency services for American Citizens in the Eastern Caribbean.
Walk-in ACS services are not available for Citizenship and Passport Services or Notarials and Authentications. Appointments for these services must be scheduled online. Once scheduled, please print out your confirmation sheet and bring it with you to the Embassy.
The consular section will be closed on all Administrative Days. Only U.S. citizens with emergencies or those that require urgent assistance will be admitted to the section.
The American Citizens Services (ACS) office of U.S. Embassy Bridgetown serves U.S. citizens living in and visiting Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Montserrat, St. Barthélemy, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, French St. Martin, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Most of the services we provide are also available at our Embassy in Grenada and our Consular Agencies in Antigua and Martinique.
U.S. citizens in Dutch St. Maarten, Saba and St. Eustatius are served by the U.S. Consulate General in Curaçao.
