U.S. Ambassador welcomes two inaugural United Airlines flights to Barbados

On Sunday, December 5, U.S. Ambassador to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean and the O.E.C.S, Linda S. Taglialatela attended the arrival ceremony for United Airlines’ two inaugural flights out of the United States to Barbados. The flights, which originate from Newark Liberty International in New Jersey and Washington’s Dulles International Airport will operate every Sunday through the end of 2021.

Ambassador Taglialatela was joined by Barbados’ Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Senator Lisa Cummins and C.E.O of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI) Jens Thraenhart in welcoming the new flights on their arrival at the Grantley Adams International Airport. Ambassador Taglialatela welcomed the new flights, which highlight a continued strengthening of linkages between the United States and Barbados.
