What to Expect at your Visa Appointment
Prohibited Items:
To expedite entrance into the Embassy, we request that you do not bring cell phones and/or bags of any sort.
The Embassy does not guarantee storage for personal items and does not take responsibility for any items you chose to leave with other individuals.
Large bags including travel bags, large backpacks and briefcases are strictly NOT allowed.
Applicants are expected to proceed into the Embassy at the time of their appointment- waiting for the limited storage space is prohibited. You will be required to reschedule your appointment if you bring items that cannot be stored or enter the Embassy.
Strictly Prohibited:
- Electronic items including cameras, audio and video players, laptops, pagers, MP3 players, and portable gaming devices.
- Weapons, ammunition, items that may be confused for weapons, and replicas of weapons including guns, knives, pepper spray, explosives, metal razors, nail clippers, and scissors.
- Lighters/e-cigarettes
Where can I wait or park?
There is no additional space outside of the Embassy for additional people not applying to wait outside of the building and parking is extremely limited. Applicants must not wait in the parking lots or under the awnings of the private business surrounding the Embassy. If the applicant or other members of their party stand or park on the property of the surrounding businesses, you may be asked to leave and have to reschedule your appointment. “Loitering in parking lots is strictly prohibited.”
Can I come to the Embassy to ask questions about my visa process?
No, there is no information help desk for visitors to the Embassy/Consulate.
