ROP 2016 for the PEPFAR Caribbean Region Approved!

The team of the PEPFAR Caribbean Regional program recently met in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to review the proposed Regional Operational Plan (ROP) for 2016. As PEPFAR works towards the goal of an AIDS free generation, this plan outlines the objectives for the year through program areas of Prevention and Care, Laboratory Strengthening, Strategic Information and Health Systems Strengthening.

The team comprised of U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Ms. Laura Griesmer, PEPFAR senior and technical staff, civil society partners and representatives from Ministries of Health. The team presented the plan to senior Headquarter staff of the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC) including Ambassador Deborah L. Birx, U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator & U.S. Special Representative for Global Health Diplomacy. On Friday, June 3, 2016 the ROP was approved by Ambassador Birx.
