Emergency Message for U.S. Citizens:  Hurricane Maria

This is an update to our previous messages regarding Maria, which has now developed into a hurricane.  Here is a summary of the watches in effect:

A Hurricane Warning is in effect for the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, and St. Lucia.

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for Anguilla and Antigua & Barbuda.

A Hurricane Watch is in effect for Anguilla, French St. Martin, and St. Barthélemy.

A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Barbados and St. Vincent & the Grenadines.

U.S. citizens should monitor local and regional emergency management organizations for updates on the situation and for information on emergency preparedness, including the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA): http://www.cdema.org/
