Interview Waiver Program (IWP)

There are two categories eligible for the Interview Waiver Program, persons under age 14 and above 79 years. Persons under 14 years of age or above 79 years of age may qualify to forego a visa interview and be allowed to submit their application via courier.

Children

You are eligible to mail in your visa application if the child and parent meet the following criteria:

  1. Child is 13 years of age or younger
  2. Child has a biological parent (listed on the birth certificate) or legal guardian (listed on court order) with a valid tourist or business visa (B1, B2, or B1/B2) issued by U.S. Embassy Bridgetown or has a valid ESTA waiver from France, United Kingdom, or the Netherlands
  3. The child and parent(s) or legal guardian(s) are residents of the following: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis and the Grenadines, British Virgin Islands, or the French West Indies.
  4. The child has never been refused a visa or the child was issued a visa subsequent to a prior refusal
  5. The child’s previous U.S. visa was not lost or stolen
  6. Neither birth parent nor legal guardians are U.S. Citizen

Required Supporting Documentation

  1. Child’s Original Birth Certificate
  2. One or both parents’ passports with valid U.S. visa(s) or a copy of ESTA
  3. The child’s passport, valid for at least 6 months and has at least one blank page
  4. Any previous passports issued to the child containing U.S. visas
  5. DS-160 Application confirmation page
  6. Proof of payment i.e. MRV fee receipt
  7. Parent’s ability to finance travel, through a bank statement or other means
  8. One (1) color photograph of the child (5 cm x 5 cm) taken no more than six (6) months ago; (applicants must not be wearing glasses)
  9. Pre-paid airway bill and courier pack for return of the documents in a courier service package, addressed to the Consular Section. (Please note that airway bills relates to persons using the IWP and not persons schedule to appear for an interview).

Applicants 80 Years of Age or Older

You are eligible to mail in your visa application if you meet the following criteria:

  1. You are 80 years of age or older
  2. Your previous visa was not revoked or cancelled due to an immigration violation
  3. Your previous U.S. visa was not lost or stolen
  4. You are applying for a tourist or business visa (B1 or B2)
  5. You have never been refused a visa or you were issued a visa subsequent to a prior refusal
  6. You are a citizen and passport holder of one of the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines

Required Supporting Documentation

  1. The applicant’s passport, valid for at least 6 months and has at least one blank page
  2. Any previous passports issued to the applicant containing U.S. visas
  3. Evidence of the applicant’s ability to finance travel, through a bank statement or other means
  4. DS-160 Application confirmation page
  5. Proof of payment i.e. MRV fee receipt
  6. One (1) color photograph (5 cm x 5 cm)

Pre-paid airway bill and courier pack for the return of the document in a courier service package, addressed to the Consular Section.
