There are two categories eligible for the Interview Waiver (IW), persons under age 14 and above 80 years old and above.
Persons under 14 years of age or above 80 years age may qualify to forego a visa interview and be allowed to submit their application via courier.
*IW applications can only be submitted by mail.
Applicants Aged 0-13
You are eligible to mail in your visa application if the child and parent meet the following criteria:
1. The child is 13 years of age or younger;
2. The child has a biological parent (listed on the birth certificate) or legal guardian (listed on court order) with a valid tourist or business visa (B1, B2, or B1/B2) issued by U.S. Embassy Bridgetown or has a valid ESTA waiver from France, United Kingdom, or the Netherlands;
3. The child and parent(s) or legal guardian(s) are residents and citizens of one the following countries:
- Anguilla
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Barbados
- British Virgin Islands
- Dominica
- Guadeloupe
- Grenada
- Martinique
- Monserrate
- St. Barthelemy
- St. Lucia
- St. Kitts and Nevis
- French St. Martin
- Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
4. The child has never been refused a visa or the child was issued a visa subsequent to a prior refusal;
5. The child’s previous U.S. visa was not lost or stolen; and
6. Neither birth parent nor legal guardians are U.S. Citizens or Legal Permanent Resident.
Required Documentation
1. Copy of child’s original birth certificate;
2. Copy of one or both parents’ passport bio page
3. Copy of one or both parents’ valid U.S. visa(s) or ESTA approval;
4. The child’s current valid passport (containing at least one blank page) from within our consular district valid for travel to the United States. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the period of stay in the United States (see country-specific agreements for exceptions).
5. Any previous passports issued to the child containing U.S. visas;
6. DS-160 application confirmation page;
7. Parent’s ability to finance travel, through a bank statement or other means;

Applicants 80 Years of Age or Older
You are eligible to mail in your visa application if you meet the following criteria:
1. You are 80 years of age or older;
2. Your previous visa was not revoked or cancelled due to an immigration violation;
3. Your previous U.S. visa was not lost or stolen;
4. You are applying for a tourist or business visa (B1/B2);
5. You have never been refused a visa or you were issued a visa subsequent to a prior refusal;
6. You are a citizen and passport holder of one of the following countries:
- Anguilla
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Barbados
- British Virgin Islands
- Dominica
- Guadeloupe
- Grenada
- Martinique
- Monserrate
- St. Barthelemy
- St. Lucia
- St. Kitts and Nevis
- French St. Martin
- Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Required Documentation
- The applicant’s current valid passport from within our consular district valid for travel to the United States. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the period of stay in the United States (see country-specific agreements for exceptions). Do NOT send all passports
- Any previous passports issued to the applicant containing U.S. visas;
- Evidence of the applicant’s ability to finance travel, through a bank statement or other means;
- DS-160 application confirmation page;

We always recommend that individuals apply for visas well in advance of their proposed date of travel. No assurances regarding the issuance of visas can be given in advance. Therefore, final travel plans or the purchase of non-refundable tickets should not be made until a visa has been issued.
