IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE VISA APPLICATION PROCESS
To improve efficiency and comply with visa regulations, effective on May 22, 2023, visa documents are returned to the courier location that the applicant selected at the time of scheduling their appointment in the appointment scheduling system. Applicants have the option to select a free of cost option to pick-up their approved visas at the DHL office in Bridgetown, and applicants residing outside Barbados can purchase “Premium Delivery Service” up to one business day prior to their consular appointment date to have the visa delivered at a DHL office in most of the islands that are part of the Embassy consular district. Applicants are no longer be allowed to purchase “Premium Delivery Service” after the consular interview nor can they bring/send a self-paid airway from a courier service provider at the time of the interview or when sending documents via DHL courier for those qualifying to apply without appearing in person for a visa interview to be used for the return of their documents.
The purpose of these changes is to ensure that all applicants can track their visa package and to streamline efficiency for cases for processing.
