The U.S. Embassy in Bridgetown is pleased to announce the delivery of nearly 4,800 pediatrics doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to Grenada on Wednesday, July 27.  These highly effective, life-saving vaccines can be used for children ages 5-11. This donation is in addition to the 98,000 vaccines already provided to Grenada by the United States through bilateral donations and donations made through the COVAX facility, which the United States supports with US$4 billion in financial commitments. Last year the United States also supported Grenada in its fight against COVID-19 and natural disasters through the donation of two field hospitals valued at over US$1.3 million. Additionally, through SOUTHCOM, the United States funded the construction of an Emergency Operations Center in Carriacou, providing more than US$2 million in funding.

The United States is committed to leading the global COVID-19 response and will continue to support the health and wellbeing of the Grenadian people. We are proud to work with Grenada to end this pandemic and return to health and prosperity.
