U.S. Embassy Bridgetown will host its inaugural Women in Politics Leadership Institute from July 29 to August 26, 2020.
The free five-week online program will gather 25 aspiring female leaders from Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines to gain knowledge on the importance of identity, diversity, inclusion in politics, building a brand, building support, and community activism in an effort to catalyze change in their local communities.
American and Caribbean political experts and government officials will facilitate the weekly program emphasizing mentorship, networking, and leadership training.
Eligibility Criteria:
U.S. Embassy Bridgetown invites applications from highly motivated young women with a strong interest in politics, government, and/or public service for its Women in Politics Leadership Institute. Applicants must be available to participate in weekly two-hour sessions from July 29 to August 26, 2020. Applicants should identify themselves as aspiring leaders who will benefit from a five-week interactive, leadership training to advance their careers;
- Age: 18 – 35 years
- Resident of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, or St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Aspiring female leaders in the non-government organization sector are encouraged to apply.
