Caribbean Basin Security Initiative
The Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (CBSI) is a U.S. security strategy focused on citizen safety throughout the hemisphere. CBSI brings all members of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Dominican Republic together to jointly collaborate on regional security with the United States as a partner.
International Visitor Leadership Program
The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) was founded in 1940 to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other countries, through carefully designed visits that reflect the participants’ professional interests and support U.S. foreign policy goals.
PAS Grant Programs
PAS grant programs support projects that further U.S. foreign policy in Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean. This includes strengthening regional security, building prosperity for all peoples, promoting clean energy, promoting human rights, and mitigating climate change.
International Religious Freedom Report
The International Religious Freedom Report describes the status of religious freedom in every country. The report covers government policies violating religious belief and practices of groups, religious denominations and individuals, and U.S. policies to promote religious freedom around the world.
Human Rights Report
The Human Rights Report addresses internationally recognized individual, civil, political, and worker rights, as set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international agreements. The U.S. Department of State submits reports on all countries receiving assistance and all United Nations member states to the U.S. Congress.
Trafficking in Persons Report 2015
The Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report is the world’s most comprehensive resource of governmental anti-human trafficking efforts. The TIP Report represents an updated, global look at the nature and scope of trafficking in persons and the broad range of government actions to confront and eliminate it.
U.S. Relations with Antigua and Barbuda Fact Sheet
The U.S. Department of State maintains a fact sheet outlining bilateral relations between the United States and other members of the world community. The fact sheet addresses economic relations, assistance provided by the U.S government, and international organizations in which both states retain membership.
