Ambassador Taglialatela’s Call with Barbadian Foreign Minister Jerome Walcott

U.S. Ambassador to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean, and the OECS Linda Taglialatela spoke by phone with Barbadian Foreign Minister Jerome Walcott on April 16.  Ambassador Taglialatela and Minister Walcott discussed ongoing U.S. assistance to Barbados during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the planned delivery of U.S.-funded COVID-19 testing materials and supplies for health programs paid for by U.S. support to CARPHA, UNICEF, and other regional and international organizations.  The Ambassador expressed her willingness to work with Barbados within the medical supply chain and maintain open lines of communication.  She assured Minister Walcott that the United States would remain sensitive to the needs of its neighbors and friends.
