The Embassy in Bridgetown, Barbados has been advised of a flight with the commercial carrier -Silver Airways- departing from Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI) to San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) and continuing on with a final destination of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FLL) on Friday, June 12 for the purpose of repatriating U.S. citizens. The flight will Depart BGI at 10:00am and Arrive in SJU at 12:50p.m. The second leg of the flight will Depart SJU at 3:00p.m. and Arrive in FLL at 7:20pm. We urge U.S. citizens (and U.S. Legal Permanent Residents) wishing to travel to the U.S. to contact the airline directly to book a seat by calling their charter reservations line at +1(801)401-9103.
U.S. citizens who choose not to take this flight should be prepared to remain in Barbados until restrictions on passenger movements are lifted. Onward travel options from San Juan or Fort Lauderdale should be made as soon as possible with available commercial airlines operating out of San Juan (SJU) or Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and is the responsibility of the passenger.
